Advanced Areola & Scar-Aware Tattoo Intensive – March Program
Spot On Survivor (SOS) – Nonprofit Partner

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, purchasing admission to, donating to, sponsoring, or otherwise engaging with the Advanced Areola & Scar-Aware Tattoo Intensive (the “Course”), Spot On Survivor (“SOS”), or any related communications or materials, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree, you must not register, attend, donate, sponsor, or access any materials.

2. Relationship Between the Course and Spot On Survivor

Spot On Survivor is a nonprofit organization whose mission includes expanding access to restorative tattooing services for survivors and supporting ethical education within the industry.

  • SOS supports, collaborates with, and aligns in mission with the Advanced Areola & Scar-Aware Tattoo Intensive.

  • SOS does not operate, control, manage, or deliver the Course.

  • SOS is not responsible for curriculum delivery, instruction, attendee performance, outcomes, certification, or business operations of the Course.

  • All instruction, vetting, and educational decisions are the sole responsibility of the Course instructors and organizers.

This separation is intentional and contractual.

3. Eligibility and Practitioner Requirements

This Course is strictly for experienced practitioners.

By applying or registering, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are a licensed or legally operating practitioner where applicable.

  • You possess prior hands-on experience in tattooing, PMU, or related restorative disciplines.

  • You meet the minimum skill, safety, and professional standards required for advanced instruction.

Vetting

All applicants are subject to pre-approval and vetting.
If, at any point before or during the Course, instructors determine that a participant does not meet the required skill level or professional standards:

  • Attendance may be denied or discontinued.

  • Tuition will be refunded minus non-recoverable service, processing, or administrative fees.

Instructor determinations are final.

4. Tuition, Donations, and Sponsorships

Course Admission

Course admission fees apply only to educational participation and do not constitute a charitable donation.

Donations and Sponsorships

Donations or sponsorships made to Spot On Survivor:

  • Support survivor access, artist compensation, and educational expansion.

  • Are voluntary and not contingent upon course admission or completion.

  • Are subject to nonprofit regulations and applicable tax laws.

SOS reserves the right to decline or reallocate sponsorships in alignment with its mission.

5. Refunds, Credits, and Extraordinary Events

Standard Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available only as outlined in Section 3 (Eligibility and Vetting).

  • No refunds are issued for voluntary withdrawal or failure to attend.

Catastrophic or Force Majeure Events

In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, venue loss, public health emergencies, instructor incapacity, or government restrictions):

  • Paid tuition will be credited toward the next available equivalent course.

  • Cash refunds are not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by the instructors.

  • Credits are non-transferable unless approved in writing.

6. Intellectual Property and Use Restrictions

All materials, including but not limited to:

  • Curriculum

  • Course structure

  • Lesson plans

  • Demonstrations

  • Techniques

  • Visuals, slides, recordings

  • Written materials

  • Course itinerary and sequencing

are protected intellectual property.

Prohibited Use

You may not, without prior written consent:

  • Copy, reproduce, record, distribute, publish, teach, sell, license, or share any Course content.

  • Create derivative works based on Course structure or curriculum.

  • Represent the Course or its materials as your own.

  • Train others using Course content, methodology, or structure.

Violation may result in:

  • Immediate removal from the Course

  • Loss of access without refund

  • Legal action for injunctive relief and damages

7. Mailing List and Communications

By registering, donating, or sponsoring, you consent to receive communications related to:

  • The Course

  • Spot On Survivor initiatives

  • Educational updates

  • Mission-aligned opportunities

You may unsubscribe at any time. Transactional and compliance notices may still be sent.

8. Assumption of Risk and Professional Responsibility

Participants acknowledge that:

  • Tattooing and restorative procedures carry inherent risk.

  • The Course is educational, not medical or legal advice.

  • Each practitioner remains solely responsible for their own work, compliance, licensure, insurance, and client outcomes.

Neither SOS nor the instructors guarantee results, skill advancement, income, certification, or professional success.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • SOS, instructors, organizers, sponsors, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for Course admission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State designated by the Course organizers, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Modifications

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation or engagement constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
